Server Races Contest

Rules and Regulations

 

 

 

Ø Contestants must wear sponsors uniforms.
Ø Contestants must sign in by 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 29th with 1 form of ID at the judges table at the side of the stage. Contest will begin at 8 P.M.
Ø Heat race slots will be assigned in order of team sign-ups (2 teams per race).
Ø Categories (men’s and women’s) will be limited to 10 teams each.
Ø 1st contestant will begin from start line when we say “Go”, carrying and balancing tray with 1 hand to the 1st table, set the tray on the table where both contestants will transfer dishes to the 2nd tray. The 2nd contestant will then balance and carry the tray with 1 hand to the 2nd finishing table.
Ø Contestants will be timed from “Go” until the 2nd tray is placed flat on the table.
Ø 2, round non-slip trays are to be provided by the contestants.
Ø Dishes and liquid for the dishes will be provided by the festival officials.
Contestants may not:
Ø Stop to replace dropped or toppled dishes.
Ø Transfer liquid from 1 dish to another.
Ø Hold tray against their body.
Ø Use 2 hands other than to transfer dishes to or pick up the 2nd tray.
Ø Travel into the other teams lane.
Contestants are encouraged to:
Ø Arrange the dishes on the tray in a manner they deem best suited for them.
Ø Audibly coach and/or cheer on their teammates during the contest.
Scoring will be as follows
Amount of liquid left in dishes
1st - 3rd: 10 Points, 4th-6th: 7.5 Points, 7th-10th: 5 Points
Fastest to slowest time
1st - 3rd: 10 Points, 4th-6th: 7.5 Points, 7th-10th: 5 Points
Ø Judges will score on agility and appearance from 1-10.
Ø Top 3 scores in each category will win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.
Ø A copy of proof of employment must be submitted for each contestant along with this entry form.
Ø Participants in each category will be limited to the first 10 teams.
Ø The registration fee is $30 per team and must be received by Tuesday, April 28th and will be accepted until all contestant slots are full.
Ø Registration fees received before April 23rd will be $25.
Ø Payments should be made to: Friends of the Embassy
Ø Registration forms can be obtained online at http://www.embassytheatre.org , picked up or dropped off at The Green Gables Hotel and Restaraunt, or mailed to ”Friends of the Embassy”, 114 Second Avenue, Burnham, PA 17009, or picked up and handed in at the Embassy tent on-site during festival hours from April 23-April 28 and will be accepted until all contestant slots are full.
